Packing Responsibly

Packing Responsibly

Use Plastic Wrap for Spillable Items: Securely wrap bottles and other items that could spill in plastic wrap or place them in sealed plastic bags to prevent leaks during the move.

Distribute Weight Evenly: Avoid overpacking boxes with heavy items. Instead, balance the weight across multiple boxes to make them easier to carry and less likely to break.

Protect Mirrors and Artwork: Use special boxes for mirrors and artwork, or sandwich them between layers of cardboard, and wrap them in moving blankets. Label them “Fragile” and “Do Not Lay Flat.”

Pack a “First-Day” Box: Pack essentials you’ll need immediately in a separate, clearly labeled box. Include items like toiletries, a change of clothes, basic kitchen supplies, and important documents. Keep this box accessible during the move.
